Monks defy court order at Ruwanweli Seya

Buddhist monks and laypeople continued their Satyagraha near Ruwanweli Seya in Anuradhapura despite a court order to vacate the area. The protest, against a development plan, began on November 7th. Demonstrators refused to comply after tensions arose with police during setup.
