Speaker rejects Opposition's privilege motion
The Speaker dismissed a request by Sajith Premadasa and four other MPs to raise questions of parliamentary privilege, citing procedural matters as reasons. This followed accusations from the Opposition that the government interfered in a no-confidence motion against the Speaker.
