Farmers' pension backlog cleared, payments resumed
The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has processed a backlog of pension applications and will resume payments for farmers aged 60 and above. Over 170,950 beneficiaries are set to receive Rs. 415 million in monthly pensions through 3,975 post offices nationwide.

The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has taken steps to provide monthly pension payments exceeding Rs. Arrangements have also been made to commence pension payments within one month for applicants whose submissions are complete and free of deficiencies, the Board stated.
