RMV Chief released on bail
Kamal Amarasinghe, Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, was granted bail by Pilessa Magistrate W.M.M.I. Wasala and released on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 with two sureties of Rs. 200,000 each. He is subject to an overseas travel ban.

Wasala, has ordered the release of the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, Kamal Amarasinghe, who had been held in remand custody. The Magistrate ordered his release on a cash bail of Rs. Kamal Amarasinghe was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on March 27th in connection with an alleged irregularity involving the registration of a vehicle.
