Woman arrested in Ragama for overseas job scam
A 40-year-old woman was arrested in Ragama, wanted on 12 arrest warrants, for allegedly defrauding individuals by promising overseas employment. The suspect had been evading court proceedings and is due before the Welisara Magistrate's Court.

According to the Police Media Division, the suspect was arrested during a raid conducted by Ragama Police in the Ginkenda area on Wednesday (04) night, following a tip-off. Police said the suspect, a resident of Ragama, had allegedly obtained money from individuals by promising opportunities to travel abroad. Ragama Police are conducting further investigations.
