Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces, the Department of Meteorology warns.
The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning for the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces, effective until 11.00 pm today. According to the department, red alerts have been issued to 10 districts and amber alerts have been issued to 07 districts.
