Iran's Foreign Minister visits Oman for Hormuz talks
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited Oman to discuss bilateral ties and Strait of Hormuz management, amid escalating tensions with the US. The visit follows recent Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and retaliatory strikes by Iran against US military infrastructure.

Consultations between the two countries have been going on for the past two months. Iranian officials have been reiterating that they have a sovereign right in managing the Strait of Hormuz in order to keep it safe and secure. Baghaei is also accusing the US of violating the MoU by carrying out air strikes and also by revoking the exemption on Iranian oil exports.
