Consultations between the two countries have been going on for the past two months. Iranian officials have been reiterating that they have a sovereign right in managing the Strait of Hormuz in order to keep it safe and secure. Baghaei is also accusing the US of violating the MoU by carrying out air strikes and also by revoking the exemption on Iranian oil exports.
