Sri Lanka Awaits BESS Upgrade for Grid Stability

Sri Lanka's Cabinet approved a multi-currency contract for upgrading the Kolonnawa Grid Substation with a 100 MW/100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System. This project, funded by the Asian Development Bank, aims to stabilize the power grid and integrate more renewable energy.
