The legal aid camp attended by the association president was organized alongside the Prison Monitoring Board. Inmates held on remand who have not been convicted of any crime face particularly concerning conditions inside the facilities. The Bar Association of Sri Lanka launched its legal aid program following a request from the Prison Monitoring Board and aims to expand the initiative.
