American Navy MV22b aircraft arrives at Katunayake Airport

The aircraft is unique because it can be used both as a helicopter and as an aeroplane. Although the propellers are set up to lift upwards like a helicopter, they can also be adjusted to point forward like an aeroplane as required. Additionally, the aircraft does not require a runway to take off and can ascend directly into the sky like a helicopter.
