Railways Department suspends all train services between Rambukkana, Peradeniya and Gampola until further notice

All train services between Rambukkana and Peradeniya-Gampola have been temporarily suspended from midnight today (25) until further notice, the Department of Railways announced. The decision was taken after a landslide became active near Kadigamuwa Railway Station, between Rambukkana and Peradeniya, causing soil to wash onto the railway track amid adverse weather conditions.
