1,650 New GN Appointments to be Granted in October

COLOMBO ( News 1st) - The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government says 1,650 new Grama Niladhari appointments will be granted on October 8. Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Prof. Chandana Abeyratne, said the appointments will be made based on the results of the competitive examination held to recruit officers to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Grama Niladhari Service. The relevant competitive examination was held last December. There are currently nearly 3,000 vacancies for Grama Niladharis across the country. The Minister said recruitment will also be carried out in the future to fill the remaining vacancies.
