Sri Lanka set for flying taxis in months
Sri Lanka plans to launch commercial passenger drone services, known as flying taxis, within two to three months. Initial flight trials are scheduled for November 11, with tests ongoing at Colombo Port City and support from EHang. The Minister said preliminary tests for the pilot project are already underway at Colombo Port City. "We expect to begin the initial flight operations on November 11. If the project is successful, we hope to commence commercial operations within the next two to three months," the Minister said.
