A former member of the Hanguranketha Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested over an alleged job scam involving promises of employment
Officers of the Bureau's special investigation unit arrested the suspect on the first of last May. The suspect former councilor and his wife are accused of defrauding approximately 21.3 million rupees from 16 individuals. Officers from the State Intelligence Service (SIS) also assisted in these overall investigation activities.
