The 2027 budget for the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha was presented to the council today (13). The presentation of the budget took place under the leadership of the Chairman, Attorney-at-Law Chinthaka Hewapathirana, representing the ruling party, and in the subsequent vote, 22 votes were cast in favour of the budget, while 23 votes were cast against it.
