Shiranthi taken back to prison after eye examination (Update)

Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, who was taken to the Colombo National Eye Hospital this morning (Oct. 09) while in remand custody, has since been returned to prison custody. She was taken to hospital after a prison medical specialist yesterday

It was reported that she was brought to the hospital around 10:30 AM under special security by prison officials. Yesterday (08), she was referred to a prison specialist doctor, and based on the medical recommendation received, steps have been taken to present her to a specialist doctor at the National Eye Hospital this morning.
