A port employee and a businessman who purchased the keys have been arrested for allegedly stealing and selling the 'smart keys' of vehicles imported into Sri Lanka through the Hambantota Port. During a lengthy investigation by the Hambantota Port security division into the disappearance of the 'smart keys', suspicion fell on a port employee.
