During the meeting, the Minister of Justice briefed officials on addressing emergencies within the prison, further improving prisoner welfare facilities, which serve as a major cause of prison conflicts, and addressing the needs of prisoners' families through state intervention. Attention was also directed toward improving spatial facilities at the Kegalle Remand Prison.
