The warrant was issued against him for failing to appear before the court. Jayasekara failed to appear before the court today, with Deputy Solicitor General Janaka Bandara, appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, informing the court that the former State Minister was overseas. The court also ordered that the two other defendants who appeared before it today be remanded.
