Sri Lanka has recorded a total of $6.86 billion in foreign remittances from expatriate workers during the first nine months of 2026, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. This reflects a significant growth of $1.05 billion compared to the same period in 2025, during which remittances stood at $5.81 billion.
