- Two individuals have lost their lives after drowning in the Nallachchiya Reservoir in Thambuththegama.Police stated that the victims met with the accident when they had gone for a bath.The victims' bodies were discovered yesterday afternoon in the canal of the reservoir.The deceased have been identified as two males, aged 19 and 30.
Police investigations have revealed that they were residents of the Bandiwewa and Thimbirigaskadawala areas. It is reported that the body of the deceased teacher has been placed at the Thambuththegama Base Hospital, and the body of the student at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examinations, and the Thambuththegama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
