COLOMBO - The total number of reported dengue cases in Sri Lanka has officially crossed the 100,000 mark as of today (Sept 28), according to Acting Deputy Provincial Director of Health Services for the Western Province, Specialist Dr. Navinda Zoysa.
Zoysa noted that while the daily count of newly reported patients has shown a slight downward trend compared to recent months, the threat of an outbreak remains significant. In light of the situation, Specialist Dr. Navinda Zoysa strongly urged the public to remain vigilant, eliminate potential mosquito breeding grounds in their immediate surroundings, and strictly adhere to preventive health guidelines.
