Tourism earnings from January to July 2026 amounted to only US$ 1,796.7 million, down 11.5% from US$ 2,031.1 million recorded during the corresponding period of 2025. In contrast, workers' remittances increased by 19.8% year-on-year to US$ 6,131.0 million during January to August 2026, compared with US$ 5,116.0 million recorded during the corresponding period of 2025.
