Namal Remanded Again in Krrish Case
Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody, and former Krrish director Janaki Siriwardena ordered to remain in remand prison until November 6. The order was issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court when the case was taken up before Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama. During proceedings, the court considered a bail application filed on behalf of Namal Rajapaksa, who has been named as the fourth suspect in the case. However, the Chief Magistrate rejected the request and directed that the Parliamentarian be further remanded until November 6. The case revolves around several allegations linked to the Krrish transaction, including accusations that a sum of Rs. 70 million was allegedly provided as a bribe to Namal Rajapaksa by the Krrish company, where Janaki Siriwardena had served as a director.
