According to the Police, the order was obtained under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, following investigations into suspects arrested by the Peliyagoda Police in May 2020 while transporting heroin in a jeep. The Police said the suspect had purchased the properties using proceeds from narcotics trafficking.
