Sri Lanka, all in one place.
LakFeed puts the things Sri Lankans check every day on one page: what happened today, what the rupee is doing, what gold costs, and the numbers you need to work something out. In English, Sinhala and Tamil, built as three equal editions rather than one site with two translations.
What's on LakFeed
News from every newsroom
Headlines from more than 50 Sri Lankan publishers, grouped so you see one event once instead of eight times. Every headline links straight to the newsroom that wrote it.
Bank exchange rates
Buying and selling rates from every Sri Lankan bank that publishes them, refreshed through the day, with the best rate for your currency called out.
Gold prices
The 22K and 24K price per pound that jewellers are advertising today, with a chart of where it has been and a pawning calculator.
Calculators
A currency converter, an EPF and ETF calculator, a fuel cost estimator and a gold pawning calculator. Free, and no sign-up.
Why we built it
Sri Lanka has three languages and one internet that mostly speaks one of them. If you read in Sinhala or Tamil you get fewer sources, later, and almost never the financial data. We think that is a solvable problem rather than a fact of life.
LakFeed is not a newspaper. We do not write articles and we do not want to. We read what the newsrooms publish, group the ones covering the same event, and get you to the original in one tap. The numbers work the same way: we collect what banks and jewellers publish and show it side by side, so you can see who is offering what without opening nine tabs.

What we stand for
The original, not our version of it
We link to the publisher and we do not rewrite them. If a story looks wrong, those are their words, and their link is right there.
Three languages, not three translations
The Sinhala site is not the English site run through a translator. Each language has its own sources, its own front page and its own search.
Numbers that say when they were read
Rates and prices carry the time we last checked them, so you can tell whether you are looking at today's number or Friday's.
No advertising, no profiles
No advertising network, no pixels from anyone else, no reading history. We count page views with Google Analytics; your language and theme stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
