We do not run an advertising network and we are not going to start. There are three other ways to work with us, and this page says what they are.
Who reads LakFeed
LakFeed's readers are in Sri Lanka and in the diaspora, and they arrive with an intention. They are checking a rate before a transfer, a gold price before a purchase, or the news in the language they think in.
Three languages, with Sinhala and Tamil readers treated as first class rather than as a translation of the English site. That is unusual for a Sri Lankan site and it is the reason to talk to us.
We will share current traffic figures on request. We are not going to put a made-up number on a marketing page.
Three ways to work with us
Data licensing. The exchange rate and gold price series behind our pages, as a feed you can build on, with the collection times attached so you know how fresh each number is. This is the thing people currently try to scrape, and a licence is cheaper for you than a blocked IP address.
Sponsorship. One named sponsor line on a section, clearly labelled as a sponsor, served from our own server. No third-party script, no cookie, no tracking, no retargeting. If that does not fit your campaign then it does not fit LakFeed, and that is a fine outcome for both of us.
Publisher partnership. If you run a Sri Lankan newsroom, we send readers to you, and we would rather do it with your blessing and your feed than by reading your pages. This is free and it always will be.
What we will not do
No display advertising networks. No tracking pixels, from anyone, at any price. No sponsored content dressed up as a headline. No selling reader data, because we do not have any to sell.
This list is the reason the rest of the page is worth reading. If you need any of these things, we are the wrong site, and we would rather say so now than waste your quarter.
What a data licence includes
The daily series for every bank and currency we collect, and the 22K and 24K gold board, each row carrying the time we read it and the institution we read it from.
Attribution is required: a visible credit to LakFeed with a link. Beyond that, what you build is yours.
