The 79th Session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for South-East Asia (RC79) was officially inaugurated today in Dili, Timor-Leste, under the leadership of WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The regional health session brings together Health Ministers, senior health officials and representatives from member countries of the WHO South-East Asia Region, along with senior officials of the World Health Organization. A Sri Lankan delegation led by Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, is participating in the session.
