It is reported that the Railway Department has recorded a loss of nearly Rs. 50 million in revenue due to a two-day strike carried out by the Railway Trade Union Alliance. Mr Samarasinghe said that no attention had been paid to the revenue lost during the railway strike, adding that the focus during that period had been solely on transporting passengers.
