An islandwide special dengue control programme will be implemented from September 14 to 19 as a preventive measure against the anticipated increase in dengue risk, Additional Director General of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat Indika Gamage said. The programme will cover 62 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) areas, and a special operations centre will also be established to coordinate the programme.
