A multi‐day fishing vessel suspected of transporting narcotics and weapons has been seized by the Sri Lanka Navy during a special operation conducted in deep seas south of the island. Navy Media Spokesperson Commander Buddhika Sampath said the vessel was intercepted during a naval mission, which uncovered a stock of "suspected narcotics" and a haul of weapons believed to have been on board.
