The Minister said the measure was taken to maintain the stability of the system, after electricity supply exceeded demand due to higher-than-expected solar power generation. He said recent rainy weather had led authorities to expect lower solar generation today, but strong sunlight resulted in a large amount of rooftop solar power being added to the national grid.
