Assets worth over Rs. 30 million, allegedly purchased using illegally earned money by a drug trafficker and her husband, have been temporarily frozen.Police stated that two land plots in the Thotalanga area, measuring 1.3 perches and 0.75 perches respectively, along with a three-storey house, have been subjected to the temporary suspension.According to the Police Illegal Assets Investigation Division, these properties and assets were acquired through drug trafficking activities carried out by the woman, a resident of Colombo 14, together with her husband.The suspension was imposed following an investigation launched by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division into the accumulation of unlawfully acquired wealth.
